Building from source
Prerequisites, build steps and per-platform notes for compiling Stratum yourself.
Stratum is a Tauri 2 desktop app: a Rust backend with a web frontend. Building it locally is a couple of commands once the toolchains are in place.
Prerequisites
| Tool | Version | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Node.js | 20.19+ | Frontend build and dev server. |
| Rust | stable | Tauri backend; install via rustup. |
| Git | recent | Needed at runtime too. |
| Tauri prerequisites | per OS | System libraries (WebView, build tools). |
Install the Tauri system prerequisites for your platform before building.
Clone & install
shell
git clone https://github.com/AkkilMG/Stratum.git
cd Stratum
npm installDevelopment
Run the app with hot reload:

npm run tauri buildInstallers are written to src-tauri/target/release/bundle/. The exact formats depend on your platform (see below).
